If you’d like to get the most out of our Industry news and ProSeries Alumni updates, there’s an easy way to make sure you are constantly updated. Simply make the ProSeries Alumni page your home page. That way, it will be the first thing you see every day.
To do that, follow these steps:
Internet Explorer:
- 1. There’s a navigation bar at the top-left hand corner. Select “Tools” and a drop-down menu will appear.
- 2. At the bottom of that menu, select “Internet Options” and a pop-up window will appear.
- 3. Under the “General” tab, the first item is “Home Page.” You’ll see a link to whatever page normally comes up. Delete that and put in
- 4. At the bottom of the window, click “OK” and it is done.

On the Yahoo Browser:
- 1. On the toolbar at the top, select “Tools.” It will open a menu.
- 2. Select the option titled “Browser Options.” That will open a window and on the left hand side is a list.

- 5. Click “Ok” and that window will close.
- 6. The ProSeries Alumni link should be the only one in the text box. If not, select the others and click “Remove.”
- 7. When you’ve completed all of that, click “OK” and the browser options window will close.

If you are using a different browser, you’ll probably go through a similar process — Look for “Tools,” then “Internet options or Browser options” and finally, “Home page” or something similar.
For example, “Tools | Options | Main | Home Page” in Firefox,
or “Safari | Preferences | General | Home Page:” in Safari.
If you do this, the ProSeries Alumni window should come up any time you open a new browser. We will update it daily so you learn something new every day.
The RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feed also works — Click the RSS icon in the top right corner to bring up the page that lets you subscribe … if you’re already staying in touch this way with other updating sites, you’ll know what to do.
If you’re not using RSS yet and feel adventurous, go ahead and give it a try — check your browser’s Help docs to see how it’s supposed to behave …
Further “light reading” on RSS, beyond the scope of this page, can be found at the links listed below — You can also Google “RSS” to see instructions from news org sites, etc….
